Project outlines are given so that you can choose an area in which to begin your project. There are many different exam boards that each have their own project outlines, and some who leave them down to your school.
It is basically an area to develop. At
GSHS we are giving a choice of outlines for our pupils and they are to choose one area.
Example: "Sounds" is a distributor of CDs and is planning to open a chain of new shops throughout the country. The client requires a corporate identity for their stores. The identity should reflect the nature of the company. This is a common type of project outline but how you deal with it is up to you. At
GSHS we have also stated a range of requirements that the pupil needs to include.
Example:
A Corporate Logo
A business card
Letterheads
Point of sale displays
Etc…….
Advice: Ask your family and friends about similar type shops. Different members of your family will have different needs and views. Your parents or guardians may have different needs from your brothers and sisters, they may also have different needs from your grandparents or neighbours (can you really see your granny buying after-dark music?).
Analyse the task: Produce a spider diagram listing everything that you may need to consider for the project (see Task Analysis).
Then produce a second spider diagram looking at all areas of your preferred project
